Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions asked by travel agency owners, reservation managers, and sales agents.
What is this?
Step-by-Step Guide
Can I quote split-stays across different hotels in one quotation?
Yes! TourVilo natively supports split-stays. In the Quotation Builder under Accommodations, simply add your first hotel (e.g. 3 nights in Colombo) and then click '+ Add Accommodation' to add your second hotel (e.g. 2 nights in Bentota). TourVilo calculates individual net costs and combines them into one seamless proposal.
What is the difference between Markup % and Target Margin %?
Markup adds a percentage on top of your supplier net cost (Selling Price = Cost × 1.20). Target Margin calculates the retail price required so that profit is a specific percentage of the final selling price (Selling Price = Cost ÷ 0.80). A 20% Target Margin yields a higher selling price and higher dollar profit than a 20% Markup.
Can my staff see each other's leads and quotations?
By default, consultants can view leads assigned to them. Agency Owners and Managers can see all inquiries across the team. You can configure individual member visibility in Team & Admin → Team.
Can I issue invoices in multiple currencies?
Yes. While your agency has a default base currency for reports (e.g. USD or LKR), you can generate quotations and customer invoices in any supported currency, provided you configure a matching bank account to receive settlement.
What does the [BETA] tag on some modules mean?
Modules tagged [BETA] (such as Quotations, Suppliers, Hotels, Vehicles, and Activities) are fully functional production tools that are actively receiving weekly user experience enhancements. Your data is 100% safe and permanent.
Are Drivers and Tour Guides available in this version?
Dedicated driver profiles, vehicle dispatch, and guide licensing are scheduled for Phase 5. Currently, driver costs and tour guide services can be quoted and fulfilled seamlessly using the Transport and Guide service lines in Quotations and Bookings.
